Read and assented to the List of Debts incurred on Account of the
late War. Sent together with the Journal of Accounts and the
following Message by Sam..l Chamberlain Esq..r

By the Upper House of Assembly 24.th May 1766.

Gentlemen.
We have no objection to the several Allowances made to the
Militia that served on the Frontiers during the late War or to the
Payment of such Persons as Supplied them with Provisions or were
put to Expences by furnishing Necessaries to any of His Majestys
Forces that were Quartered in this Province and therefore have assen-
ted to the Book of Accounts wherein those Claims are adjusted: but
We cannot assent to the Journal Accounts because the usual Allow-
ance is not therein made to the late and present Clerk of the Council,
nor to Our Clerk for making three Copies of the Upper House
Journal for the last Session

Read the second time the Bill Entitled, An Act for issuing Re-
plevins out of the County Courts of this Province, and will not Pass.
Read the second time the Bill Entitled An Act for raising four
pence Sterling on every Hogshead of Tobacco exported out of this
Province for the Support of An Agent in London for the Service
of this Province and will not Pass. Sent these two Bills by Samuel
Chamberlain Esq..r
A Bill by Mess..rs Lee and Heath Entitled An Act to enable the
Vestrymen and Church Wardens of S.t Pauls Parish in Baltimore
County to Nominate and recommend Inspectors for Baltimore Town
Warehouse. Read the first and second time by an Especial Order and
will Pass Sent by Daniel Dulany Esq..r
Adjourned till Monday Morning 10 of the Clock
