Amendment adopted, and

The bill, as amended, was read the second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 6, of
Article 61, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, entitled 'Manures and Fertilizers, ' as amended by
chapter 397, of the Acts of 1894, and to re-enact same
with amendments. ''

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act providing for the selection
of candidates for election by popular vote, and relating
to elections. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to permit a mortgagor to
maintain an action of ejectment against any person or
persons other than the mortgagee or his assigns. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
By Judiciary Committee.

Strike out all after "a bill" and insert in lieu thereof,
the following:

"Entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 75 of
the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Pleadings, Prac-
tice and Process at Law, ' sub-title 'Ejectment, ' te come
in after section 69, and to be known as 'Section 69 A. ' "

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to the Code of
Public General Laws, title 'Pleadings, Practice and Pro-
cess at Law, ' sub-title 'Ejectments' to come in after sec-
tion 69, and to be known as 'Section 69 A, ' and to read
as follows:

69 A. That an outstanding mortgage shall not prevent
the real owner or mortgagor of said property from main-
taining an action of ejectment against any person or per-
sons other than the mortgagee or his, her or their as-
signees.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
