House bill entitled "An Act to refund to Alexander
Milner a sum of money paid by him to the Comptroller
of the Treasury of the State and covered into the Treas-
ury of the State, for a license to dredge for oysters with
the schooner L. W. Bates, which schooner was lost three
months and ten days prior to the expiration of said li-
cense. "

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Register
of Wills for Dorchester county to make a general index
of certain records in his office.

By Dorchester County Delegation:

Amend section 2 as follows: On line 5 strike out all of
said section after the word "the, " and insert as follows:
"sum of five cents for indexing each will or other instru-
ment required to be indexed by him by this Act; provi-
ded, that not more than $250 be levied for said purpose
in any one year. "
