On motion of Mr. Dunn,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means, to introduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money
to reimburse the soldiers of the Fourth Regiment who
served in the late Spanish war, for money deducted from
their pay for uniforms worn by them on entering the ser-
vice.

On motion of Mr. Keys,

Leave was granted to the Cecil county delegation, to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 8, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Cecil
County, ' under the new sub-title 'Bills of Exchange and
Promissory Notes, ' to be designated as 'Section 37 A, '
and to follow section 37. "
On motion of Mr. King,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to refund to Enoch B.
Abell, Clerk to the Circuit Court for St. Mary's county, a
sum of money erroneously paid by him into the treasury
of the State. "

On motion of Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal the 154th sec-
tion of Article 7, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, relating to Taneytown, in Carroll county, as
amended by section 154, chapter 584, of the Acts of 1894,
and to re-enact the same with amendments. "

Also,

Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation to
introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 144, of
Article 7, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title ' Carroll County, ' sub-title ' Taneytown, ' and re-enact
the same with amendments. "

On motion of Mr. Robinson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 796,
of Article 4, of the Public Local Laws, entitled 'City of
Baltimore, ' sub-title 'Street Railway Taxes, ' as amended
and re-enacted by chapter 123, of the Acts of 1898, and
to re-enact the same with amendments. "
