Mr. Lehmayer, from Committee on Judiciary, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled ' An Act giving the consent of the
State of Maryland to the purchase and acquisition of
land by the Trustee of Union Theological Seminary in
Virginia. "

Which was read a second time.
Also favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 54 and
55 of Article 17 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title 'Clerks of Court, ' and to re-enact the
same with amendments. "

Which was read a second time.

Also, unfavorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 146 D, of
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, entitled 'Revenue and Taxes, ' as said section is en-
acted and added to said Article 81, by chapter 275 and
chapter 501, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at its January session, in the year 1898,
and to re-enact said section 146 D, with amendments. "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide for the
acquisition of a lot of land and the erection thereon,
by the State of Maryland, of a building in the city of
Annapolis, in which shall be located the court room, con-
sultation and other rooms of the Court of Appeals, the
State Library or portion thereof, the Comptroller's office,
the Land Commissioner's office, the Tax Commissioner's
office, the Treasurer's office; and for such other purposes
as may be deemed proper, and to appropriate a sum of
money therefor, and to provide for the removal of the
building upon State House hill, known as the 'Comp-
troller's Office. '"
