Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 and
2, of chapter 516, of the Laws of Maryland, passed by
the General Assembly of Maryland, at the December
Session of the year 1849, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, and to add additional sections
thereto, entitled section Q A, section 2 B, section 2
C, and section 2 D,

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

By Mr. Evans,

Senate bill entitled an Act to add section to Arti-
cle 4, Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Bal-
timore, " sub-title "Inspections and Measures—Live
Stock, " relating to the sale or lease of State Cattle-
Yards.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Senators.

By Mr. Waters, the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to reimburse the Visitors:
of Washington College, for the board and tuition of
W. T. Brown, a student from Somerset county.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
sections 1 and 2, Act 1874, chapter 282,

Which were read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Finance.

Mr. Talbott, from the Committee on Federal Rela-
tions, reported favorably,

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION,

Requesting and urging the Senators and Represen-
tatives of the State of Maryland, in the Congress of
the United States, to use their best efforts to secure
the passage of Senate Bill No, 67, entitled a bill to
transfer the Revenue Marine Service from the Treas-
ury Department of the United States to the Naval
Department.

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
