House bill entitled an Act to explain certain corporate pow-
ers and privileges heretofore conferred, and also to confer ad-
ditional powers and privileges upon the Convention of the
Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Easton, by au-
thorizing it to receive by gift, devise or otherwise, contribu-
tions in money, land or other property, and to hold the same
for the purposes therein mentioned.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 9, of Article
11, Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, relating to
"Attorneys at Law," and to re enact the following section in
lieu thereof.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with an
amendment Section 1, of an Article passed at January Ses-
sion, 1870, Chapter 247, entitled an Act to amend the 16th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws, by adding thereto
the following sections, relating to trustees appointed by will
or by a decree of a Court of Equity, to fill a vacancy in the
office of Trustee in any trust relating to real estate or person-
al estate, or leasehold property created by will.
House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 30, of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments,"
by adding additional sections thereto, to follow Section 54
thereof under the sub-title of "Fraud," and to be read as
sub-Section A.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 173,
of Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Rogues and
Vagabonds," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Dennis, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported unfavorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to conform the Code of Public
General Laws to the Constitution of the United States, by
striking out the word "white" wherever the same occur, in
Article 13, of the said Code, title "Bastardy and Fornica-
tion," and in all other articles thereof.
Mr. Sulivane moved to substitute the bill for the unfavora-
ble report.
