annual tax levied for the support of Free Public Schools, and
to confirm the apportionments and distributions thereof,
heretofore made by that officer.

The question being on the motion made by Mr. Stump,
to refer said bill, together with the amendments submitted
by Mr. Sulivane on the 26th instant, to the Committee on
Education.

It was rejected by yeas and nays, as follows :
