Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
Mr. McLane submitted the following message :

BT THE SENATE,

March 29, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message requesting the Senate to
recede from its amendments to House bill entitled an Act
making appropriatiens for the support of the State Govern-
ment for the fiscal year ending 30th September, 1879, and
non-concur therein. We respectfully ask the appointment of
a Committee of Conference on the disagreeing votes of the
two Houses, to consist of two on the part of the Senate and
three on the part of the House.

We have named on the part of the Senate Messrs. McLane
and Gorman.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary of the Senate.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of Del-
egates.

Mr. McLane, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably,

House bill entitled an Act to revive an Act to incorporate
the Vienna Academy in Dorchester County.

Which was read the second time.
