Resolved, That the several departments, boards and
commissions of the State give such information and as-
sistance required by the Commission in making its study
and investigation; and be it further

Resolved, That the Commission be known as the Mary-
land Commission for the study of the Child Labor Laws.

(Senate Joint Resolution 8)

A Senate Joint Resolution requesting the Govenor to
appoint a Commission to study the general corporation
laws and recommend such amendments thereto as it may
deem advisable.

WHEREAS, the General Assembly has considered from
time to time various proposed amendments to the general
corporation laws, some of which have not been acted upon
due to the lack of time for study of the technical questions
of corporate practice arising in connection therewith; and

WHEREAS, the general corporation laws have been
amended from time to time but have not been revised in
their entirety since the year 1908; therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be and he is hereby requested to appoint a
Commission, consisting of not less than five (5) nor more
than twelve (12) members, to study the need and desira-
bility of amendments to the general corporation law and/or
a thorough-going revision thereof, and to submit the re-
sults of its study, together with any recommended amend-
ments and/or revision of such laws, to the Legislative
Council on or before October 1, 1948, and to the General
Assembly which convenes in January, 1949.
