Which was read and referred to the Prince George's delega-
tion.
Mr. Donaldson presented the petitition of Hon. Geo. Wm.
Brown, and other members of the bench and bar of Balti-
more city, asking for a repeal of the law exempting from
jury duty, members of Volunteer Militia Companies.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Hawkins presented the petition of H. E. Mudd, P. A.
Lasscrid, and 40 other citizens of Charles county, for the re-
peal of the attachment law, so far as relates to Charles county. ,
Mr. Baldwin presented the memorial of citizens of Bal-
timore and Harlord counties, asking for removal of Eastern
Hay Scales.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Goldsborough presented the petition of Isaac Walton
and 84 others of Caroline county, asking that no law be
passed preventing stock running at large.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Goldsborough,
Culbreth and flinks.
Also,
The petition of Joseph Hunter and 46 others of Caroline
county, asking that no law be passed preventing cattle run-
ning at large.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Goldsborough,
Culbreth and Hinks.
Also,
The petition of Mercellus Pippin and 68 other citizens of
Caroline county, praying that the Constitution of this State,
be so amended, that no person shall have a right to vote un-
less they be assessed, at least ten days prior to an election, and
pay a poll tax of one dollar, unless they pay a property tax.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Chaisty presented the petition of Francis A. Crook,
Rev. Dr. Fuller, and 148 other citizens of Baltimore city,
asking for Local Option.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
The following bill having passed both Branches of the
General Assembly, was this day presented to His Excellency,
the Governor, for his approval:
No. 19. An Act to repeal Section 935, of Article 4, of the
