Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 163 of the
Acts of 1866, entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal Church, in Federalsburg, Caroline
county, and to re-enact a substitute therefor.

Which was read the first time.

House hill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Parkton and Manchester Railroad Company, by providing
that Juries selected to condemn private property for the
location of the Parkton and Manchester Railroad, shall take
into consideration benefits to be derived by owners of pro-
perty, so condemned, as well as damages.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 1 of chapter
122 of the Acts of 1854, amending the charter of the South
Baltimore Company ; increasing the capital stock of said
Company, and extending the charter, and to protect the
rights of said Company from forfeiture by non-user.

Which were read the second time.

Also favorably,

House bill entitled an Act relating to the Franklin Bank
of Baltimore.

With the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1 add the following : "But the stockholders of said
bank shall be liable to the amount of their respective share
or shares of stock for all its debts and liabilities, upon note,
bill or otherwise."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Also favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the National Lu-
bricating Company of Maryland.

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 2, line 2, strike out "she be not," and insert "shall
not be."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Walsh, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably the following bills :

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay in full for the preparation of certain maps in the Land
Office.

Which was read the first time.
