House bill entitled an Act to give the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly, to the several bequests in the will of Rezin
Hammond, late of Anne Arundel county, deceased, to the
Brooklyn Methodist Church and Parsonage in Brooklyn,
Anne Arundel county, and Holly Run Methodist Protestant
Church in said county.

Which was read the second time.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
therein mentioned, to pay the claims of George W. Murdock,
J. W. Kalmey, J. Seth Hopkins & Co., Henry W. Jenkins
& Son, Samuel Stewart, G. T. Leiter and J. E. Hayden.

With the following proposed amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Sec. 1, line 2, page 2, after the word "cents" strike out
the words "to George T. Leiter for work done by direction
of Levin Woolford, Comptroller, the sume of one hundred
dollars."

Amend title by striking out ''George T. Leiter."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Hon. R. C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, appeared and
delivered the following communication from the Executive :
EXECUTIVE DEPAETMENT,

Annapolis, March 10th, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed the following Acts that originated in the Senate.

No. 34. An Act to require the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Frederick county, to transcribe two Equity Dockets of
the Circuit Court for said county.

No. 40. An Act to regulate the speed of vehicles and
equestrians on the approach to Druid Hill Park from North
Avenue.

No. 41. An Act to protect Fish and Wild Fowl in certain
of the waters of Kent county.

No. 42. An Act to change the name of the Trustees of the
Roman Catholic Asylum for widows in the City of Balti-
more, incorporated by chapter 199, of the Act of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland, of 1854, to that of the Little
Sisters of the Poor.

No. 43. An Act to regulate the building of Mill Dams on
streams where the public road crosses such streams; and the
keeping of the same in repair in Wicomico county.
