the Peace, to be committed or held to bail for
appearance at the succeeding term of Circuit
Court of the county, or Criminal Court of Bal-
timore city, to answer the charge of selling
goods without a license, all persons found
doing business without a license.

SEC. 5 B. Every person who shall open a
room or place of business for the purpose of
selling goods, wares and merchandise at auc-
tion, shall be required to take out a license in

the same manner as resident traders, the
amount to be charged for said license to be
rated upon the amount in value of goods,
wares and merchandise on hand by said per-
son for sale, in the same manner as licenses
are rated to resident traders.

SEC. 21. For every such license, not to ex-
tend beyond the county in which the same
may be issued, there shall be paid the follow-
ing rates, to wit: for every license to travel on
foot, the sum of one hundred dollars; to travel

with a horse or other beast of burden, and
wagon or other vehicle, the sum of one hun-
dred and fifty dollars; with two horses or
other beasts of burden and wagon, or other
vehicle, the sum of two hundred dollars; but
nothing in this section shall apply to hawkers
or pedlars of oysters, fish and meat in their
unpreserved and natural condition, or of fruits
and vegetables perishable in their natures,
that are grown in this State, and sold in their
natural conditions.

SEC. 26. For every apprehension and con-

viction of a hawker or pedlar, the Sheriff,
Constable, or any other person apprehending
shall be entitled to receive the sum of ten dol-
lars, to be recovered as part of the costs.
