skill and ability and once appointed shall hold office during good behavior regardless of
changes in members constituting the board. They shall be removed only for
incompetency or immorality upon charges furnished in writing by the board setting
forth the grounds for dismissal and after opportunity for hearing.
203.
(a-2) [In Baltimore City, the board of license commissioners may impose a fine of not
more than $500 or suspend the license of a licensee for any violation that is cause for
suspension under the alcoholic beverage laws affecting Baltimore City.] FOR ANY
VIOLATION THAT IS CAUSE FOR SUSPENSION UNDER THE ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE LAWS AFFECTING BALTIMORE CITY, THE BALTIMORE CITY
BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS MAY:
(11 FOR A FIRST OFFENSE, IMPOSE A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN
$500 OR SUSPEND THE LICENSE; OR
(21 FOR ANY SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE, IMPOSE A FINE OF NOT
MORE THAN $1,000 OR SUSPEND THE LICENSE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the Chairman and members of the Board of
License Commissioners for Baltimore City in office on the effective date of this Act, but
the provisions of this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the Chairman and
members of the Board of License Commissioners for Baltimore City shall take effect at
the beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.

AN ACT concerning
Baltimore County - Alcoholic Beverages Licenses - Theaters
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Baltimore County Board of License Commissioners
to issue certoin classes of on sale a Special Theater (on-sale) beer, wine and
liquor licenses license for use in a theater under certain circumstances;
establishing the times for sale under the license; specifying certain fee and
transferability provisions; exempting the issuance of the license from certain
population quota provisions; and generally relating to theaters in Baltimore
County and alcoholic beverages licenses.
