An act for the benefit of P Pincus, of Baltimore County

Passed Mar. 5 1835

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Commissioners of Insolvent Debtors for the city and
county of Baltimore, be and they are are hereby authoris-
ed and empowered, to grant to P Pincus of Baltimore
county, the benefit of the several acts of assembly, passed
for the relief of insolvent debtors Provided the said P
Pincus shall, in all other respects, except that of proving
residence, com ly with the requisitions of said acts of as
sembly, and that he satisfy the said commissioners that he
did not come into this Slate with the view of obtaining the
benefit of the s d insolvent laws and provided also, that the
said P Pincus shall be compelled to file his petition for the
benefit of said insolvent laws, previous to his discharge
from custody

CHAPTER 175

An act to Incorporate the Hancock Library Society, in Walk
ington County

Passed Mar 5, 1835

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the shareholders of the Hancock Library,
their successors and assigns, be and they are hereby con-
stituted a body politic and corporate, by the name and style
of The Hancock Library Society, and by that name shall
have perpetual succession, may sue and be sued, and have
and use a common seal, with power to purchase, receive,
and hold, they and their successors, forever, any lands,
tenements, rents, goods and chattels, of what kind soever,
that may be purchased or devised, or given to them for the,
use of said Library, and to lease, rent, or otherwise dispose
of the same in such manner as to them shall seem most
conducive to the interests of said Society

their successors, or a majority of them, shall have power to
appoint directors, a librarian, and treasurer, and such other
officers as may be necessary, and shall have power, from
time to time, to make and establish such by laws, rules, and
