Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive
and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him a Set of Cordwainers tools and a New Suit of Cloaths
Over and above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise find and provide for his Said Apprentice meat
drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the term afd.

John Piper Guardian    John Piper of Somerset County Gent being present here in Court in his proper person &
to his Son Joseph    of his Own free Consent is Appointed by the Court here as Guardian to his Son Joseph
Piper    Piper an Infant under the Age of fourteen Years untill he the Said Joseph Piper Should
Arrive at full Age by Law for Choseing of his Guardian &c. Whereupon it is ordered that the afd. Guardian

take into his hands and Possession all the Estate personall of the afd. ^ Orphan ^ and it is further ordered that
A Certain Christopher Piper deliver up unto the afd. Guardian all the Estate personal that he hath in
his hands and Possession and that of Right doth belong unto the afd. Joseph Piper Infant afd. and that
the afd. Guardian Give Good Security to Comply with the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as afd.
And to deliver up unto the afd. Joseph Piper Infant afd. his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. or Guardian or Guardians
hereafter to be Appointed or Chosen all the Estate of the afd. Joseph that he Shall take into his Care &
Possession Peaceably and Quietly when ever the Same Should be Legally Required &c
   Thereupon the Said John Piper with Isaac Dashiell and William Nutter of Somerset County Gent his
Securitys all present here in Court in their Proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the
Said Joseph Piper Infant afd. in Two hundred pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodys Goods or Chattles
Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said Joseph Piper his heirs Exrs. Admrs. or Assigns
to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said John Piper Guardian as afd. his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. do not Comply
with the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as afd. and do not deliver up unto the afd. Joseph Infant afd.
his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. or Guardian or Guardians hereafter to be Appointed or Chosen all the Estate Real and
Personall of the afd. Joseph infant afd. that he Shall take into his hands and possession peaceably and Quietly
whenever the Same Should be Legally Required &c

Wm. Johnson    William Johnson an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here an Apprentice
   Bound to    According to Act of Assembly in Such Case provided unto James Pusey of Somerset County Bricklayer
James Pusey    untill he the Said William Johnson Should Arrive at the Age of Twenty One Years the Said William
to Serve his Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice his Said Master well and
faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Everywhere willingly
he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall demean himself towards his
Said Master and all his during the term afd.       In Consideration of Which Service the Said James Pusey
present here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially
Sitting in Manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said James Pusey Shall and will during the
term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Bricklayer and to Read Write and Cypher as far as the
Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a New Suit of Cloaths over and above
his Common wearing Cloaths and a Masons Trowell and Plaisterers Trowell and Likewise find and provide for
his Said Apprentice Meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and
Wear during the term afd.       Whereupon the Said James Pusey is ordered to give Security to Comply with the
Covenants afd. Thereupon the Said James Pusey together with William Benston and David Dredon of Somerset
County Planters his Securitys all present here in Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted
unto the afd. William Johnson in thirty pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands
or tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said William Johnson his heirs and Assigns to be made
and Levied if it happen that the Said James Pusey do not during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the
trade of a Bricklayer and to Read Write and Cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration
