Mr. W. Moffitt, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act for the relief of Henry
Waller, of Kent county; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

The bill to lay out and make a public road in Baltimore county, was read the second time, passed, and sent
to the senate by the clerk.

A petition from sundry inhabitants of Charles county, praying for a lottery to raise a sum of money for the
purpose of repairing the church in Port-Tobacco parish, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. C. Dorsey,
Mr. Green and Mr. Rogerson, to consider and report thereon.

A petition from John Smith Brookes, of Prince-George's county, praying that a soldier's certificate, now be-
longing to him, may be received in part payment of a debt due by him to the state, was preferred, read, and
referred to Mr. Page, Mr. Callis and Mr, Hall, to consider and report thereon.

A petition from the managers of the Baltimore General Dispensary, praying to be incorporated, and to re-
ceive some pecuniary aid from the state for the benefit thereof, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. T.
Dorsey, Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Steuart, to consider and report thereon.

Mr. Streett, from the committee, delivers to the speaker tive following report:

THE committee to whom was referred the petition of sundry inhabitants of Harford county, praying the ap-
pointment of commissioners to review a part of the road that leads from the end of Patrick Smith's lane to
Myer's mill, on Deer creek, in said county, and the counter petition thereto, having taken the same into con-
sideration, and finding more signers to the counter petition than the petition praying for the review, and your
committee being of opinion that the contemplated change will not be of public utility, report, the petitioners
have leave to withdraw their petition. All which is submitted,

Which was read the first and second time by especial order and concurred with.

A petition from Edward Reynolds, of Calvert county, praying that his claim against William and Robert
Mollison, whose property was confiscated, may be paid, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. Emerson,
Mr. Sudler and Mr. Tabbs, to consider and report thereon.

Mr. Steuart, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to confirm the will of
Mary Davidson, of the city of Baltimore, deceased; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the
table.

On motion, Leave given to bring in a bill, entitled, An act to authorise the levy court of Charles county to
levy a sum of money for the purposes therein mentioned. ORDERED, That Mr. Stone, Mr. C. Dorsey and Mr.
Green, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.

On motion. Leave given to bring in a bill, entitled, An act to authorise the levy court of Anne-Arundel
county to levy a sum of money lor the purposes therein mentioned. ORDERED, That Mr. Merriken, Mr. C. D.
Hodges and Mr. O. Williams, be a committee to prepare and bring in the same.

Mr. T. Moffit, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act in favour of the represen-
tatives of Richard Hall, late of Caecil county, deceased; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on
the table.

Mr. Forwood, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:

THE committee to whom was referred the petition of John C. Bond, late sheriff of Harford county, submit
the following resolution:

RESOLVED, That John C. Bond, having nearly paid the balance of principal and interest of six per cent, on
the sums due from him to the state as sheriff, be and he is hereby released from the nine per cent, additional
interest incurred by nonpayment of the principal and interest within the time limitted by law, upon his paying
the balance clue by him, together with six per cent, interest, on or before the first day of January, eighteen
hundred and nine.

Which was read the first and second time by especial order, the resolution therein contained assented to, and
sent to the senate by the clerk.

Mr. Forwood, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to lay out and make public
a road therein mentioned in Harford county; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

The bill to alter all such parts of the constitution and form of government as relate to the residence of voters,
was read the second time, and the question put, Shall the said bill pass? The yeas and nays being required, ap-
peared as follow:
