er such "person" is a resident or non-resident of the State
of Maryland.

(8) The word "import" means the transportation of
ordering, or arranging for the transportation or shipment
of "alcoholic beverages" into the State of Maryland from
any other State or Country.

(9) The word "Comptroller" shall mean the Comptrol-
ler of the State of Maryland.

(10) The words "light wine" shall mean any naturally
fermented wine, but shall not include any sparkling wine
or any wine the alcoholic content of which has been in-
creased or fortified by the addition of alcohol or spirits.

(11) The words "sparkling wine" shall mean cham-
pagne or any artificially carbonated wine.

(12) The words "fortified wine" shall mean any wine,
the alcoholic content of which has been increased by the
addition of alcohol or any other distilled liquor.

(13) The word "Club" shall mean any corporation or
association created by competent authority which is the
owner, lessee or occupant of premises bona fide operated
solely for educational, social, patriotic, political, fraternal,
or athletic purposes, and not for profit, upon the question
as to whether said establishment is a bona fide club within
the meaning of this act, the Court, after a consideration of
all facts, shall be the judge thereof.

(14) The word "hotel" means any establishment for the
accommodation of the public, equipped with not less than
twenty bedrooms if in Cumberland, and ten bedrooms if
elsewhere in the County, each bedroom containing not less
than one bed and other customary bedroom furniture in
each room, with sufficient coverings for said beds, and
equipped with a public dining-room separate from the room
in which alcoholic beverages are usually sold or kept for
sale, and upon the question as to whether said establish-
ment is a bona fide hotel within the meaning of this act, the
Court, after a consideration of all facts, shall be the judge
thereof.

(15) The word "restaurant" means any establishment
bona fide furnishing meals and food to the general public
and upon the question as to whether the said establishment
is a bona fide restaurant within the meaning of this act, the
Court, after a consideration of all the facts, shall be the
judge thereof.
