RESOLUTIONS.

No. 47.

1846.

Preamble and Resolutions in relation to a Joint Com-
mittee of the House and Senate.

WHEREAS, in pursuance of resolution number eight,
of eighteen hundred and forty, a joint commit-
tee of the Senate and House of Delegates, con-
sisting of three members, one from the Senate and two
from the House of Delegates; and whereas, no time re-
mains for said committee to the duties incumbent upon
them, during the present session of the Legislature —
Therefore,
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That said committee may postpone so much of their
duty as is necessary to be performed under resolution
number eight, of eighteen hundred and forty, until after
the termination of the present session of the Legislature,
and they are hereby authorised and required to perform
said duty during the recess of the Legislature, and make
report thereof to the Governor, to be communicated by
him to the Legislature at its next session.
Resolved, That the treasurer pay the members of the
committee the sum of three dollars for each and every
day in which they shall be engaged in the discharge of
their duty, and two dollars for every twenty miles they
shall travel by the usual route, in going to and returning
from the performance of said duty.

Preamble.

Resolution in favor of George McCullough, John Skir-
ving and C. C. Jamison.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State pay to the following persons,
namely: George McCullough, the sum of forty-eight
dollars and eighty-two cents; to John Skirving, the sum
of two hundred and eighty-two dollars; to C. C. Jami-
son, cashier of the Bank of Baltimore, the sum of twenty-
four dollars and thirty-five cents, out of any unappro-
priated money in the treasury.
