passed the 10th day of March 1856, chapter 299,
to which this act is a supplement, and the said
Joshua H. Hynes, shall also he entitled to the full
benefit of the said act, to which this act is a sup-
plement, notwithstanding anything in the fourth
section of the same contained, or any judgment
or suit pending or existing against the said
Joshua H. Hynes, and provided further that
said Hynes shall pay all costs and charges on
said suit or suits.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the
Comptroller he and he is hereby authorised to
direct the State's Attorney for Baltimore county
to dismiss the suit now pending in the Circuit
court of said county against Samuel P. Storm,
former Sheriff thereof and others in favor of the
State, upon payment into the State Treasury, with-
in sixty days after the passage of this act, the
balance of the principal for which he is indebted as
collector of the direct taxes, with so much interest
thereon as he may have received, to be verified
under oath, together with all costs and charges
that have or may accrue on said suit.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
go into effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to alter the district lines between the
fifth, sixth and ninth election districts of Cecil
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the line henceforth be-
tween the fifth, sixth and ninth election districts
of Cecil county, be and are hereby established as
follows: beginning for the bounds of the said
ninth election district, at the Pennsylvania line,
on the road near John Brown Joiner, thence
south with said road to its intersection with the
road leading from Rising Sun to Brick Meeting
House, thence east with said road to the northwest
