CHAP. 151.

be authorised by law to lease the said lot for the term of ninety-
nine years renewable for ever, at and under such yearly rent as
shall be approved by the orphans court of Baltimore county, se-
curing the rent to the said Mary Ann alias Anna Maria, during
life, and after her death to her children, and praying that a law
may pass for that purpose; Therefore,

Authorised to
lease lot of ground.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
said James Stevens, and Mary Ann. alias Anna Maria, his wife,
be and they are hereby authorised, by and with the consent and
approbation of the orphans court of Baltimore county, to grant,
demise and lease, the said lot of ground No. 13. with its appur-
tenances and advantages, for the term of ninety nine years, re-
newable for ever, to such person or persons, and at and under
such yearly rent as the said court shall approve, the rent to be
made payable to the said Mary Ann alms Anna Maria, or her
heirs or assigns, during her life, and after her death to all her
children, their heirs and assigns, in equal proportion, so as to pre-
serve and secure to the parties the same interest in the rent as
that intended to be given them in the ground by the will of the
testator.

Passed Feb. 13, 1821.

CHAP. CLII.

An Act for the benefit of All Hallows Parish, in Anne-Arundel County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the visitors for the time being, of Anne-Arundel county free
school, or a majority of them, be and they are hereby authorised
and directed, to have surveyed and laid off, at such point as they
may think most suitable, one acre of the free school hind, under
their care and direction, and to convey the same, by a good and
sufficient deed, to the vestry of All-Hallows Parish, and their
successors, for the purpose of building a house of public worship
for the use and benefit of said parish.

Passed Feb. 13, 1821.

CHAP. CLIII.

An Act, entitled, An act relating to the Crier of Baltimore County Court.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges of Baltimore county court, be and they are hereby au-
thorised to allow to the crier of said court such compensation as
in their judgment they may conceive just and reasonable, not ex-
ceeding two dollars per day, for his services while attending said
court, while engaged in chancery business, as crier, hereafter, to
be levied and paid as all other county taxes are levied and
paid.

Passed Feb. 13 1821.

CHAP. CLIV.

An Act to confirm anil make valid an Ordinance of the Corporation of the
City of Baltimore.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That an
ordinance passed the sixth of March 1820, by the mayor and
city council of Baltimore, to establish the grade and width of
part of East-street, and all the proceedings of the commissioners
for opening and extending South street, under and in virtue of
the same, be and they are hereby confirmed and made valid to all
intents and purposes, and that the said corporation are hereby
