       the sum of Sixty Pounds Sterling being the Consideration

       April 17.th 1747  Then Came before Us Two of his Lordships
       Justices of the peace for Calvert County the within named
       Philip Dowell & Mary his wife & Acknowledged the
       within Deed to be their Act and Deed and the Land & Premes
       therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within
       named John Bickerton his heirs & Assigns forever
       & the said Mary being Privately examined & out of the
       hearing of said Husband Acknowledged that she freely &
       Voluntarily became a party thereto & that she Relinquished
       her Right of Dower to the said Land and Premisses not by
7 1/2 sides any Compulsion or threats of or from her said Husband
       or for fear of his Displeasure

Ex.d   This Indenture made the third day of June
       in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and forty seven
       Between Thomas Bordley of the City of Annapolis in the Province

       Jenings heretofore Ariana Frisby and afterwards Ariana Bordley
       of Cecil County in the Province af.d Deceased of the one part and
