ABERDEEN
AND ENACTED that this Resolution shall become effective
fifty (50) days from the date of enactment hereof on the
3rd day of May, 1973, and that a copy of this Resolution
be published in at least one weekly newspaper of general
circulation not less than four (4) times at weekly
intervals within the period of at least forty (40) days
after the adoption of this Resolution, subject to
petition for referendum as provided by law.

CHAPTER AMENDMENT NO. 1973-2
A Resolution of The Commissioners of Aberdeen
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to
repeal and re—enact, with amendments, Section 55 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County, title
"Harford County", subtitle "Aberdeen", reducing the age
requirements for a taxicab driver in the Town of Aberdeen
from the age of twenty—one (21) years to the age of
eighteen (18) years.
SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ORDAINED, AND ENACTED BY
THE COMMISSIONERS OF ABERDEEN by authority of Article 11E
of the Constitution of Maryland and of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended)
that Section 55 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County, title "Harford County", subtitle
"Aberdeen", is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
55. No person shall drive a taxicab within the Town
of Aberdeen without first having obtained a taxicab
driver's license from the Taxicab Bureau. Each applicant
for a driver's license must:
(1) Be of the age of [21 years] EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS
or over and a citizen of the United States or a
declarant.
(2) Be of sound physique, with good eyesight and
not subject to epilepsy, vertigo, heart trouble, or any
other infirmity of body or mind which might render the
applicant unfit for the safe operation of a taxicab.
(3) Be able to speak, read and write the English
language.
