       Subscribing are the proper hand writing of the said John Glassford and these Deponents
                            In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Provost and Chief Majestrates
             L S         of the City aforesaid have Subscribed these Presents and have also caused
                            the Common Seal of the City of Glasgow to be hereunto put and Affixed
       dated in Glasgow the seventh day of September one Thousand seven hundred and
       Sixty nine

       On the Back of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       Maryland Prince Georges County fs.t  May 4.th 1770 Then came before us the Subscribers two
       of his Lordships Justices for the County aforesaid Daniel Campbell and John Gray two of
       the Subscribing Witnesses to the within Power of Attorney and made Oath on the Holy
       Evangills of Almighty God that they were personally present and did see John Glassgow
       Sign Seal and Execute as his proper Act and Deed the Power of Attorney within
       Written and that the Name John Glassford thereto set as the party Executing, and the
       Names Daniel Campbell and John Gray thereto set as Subscribing Witnesses are
       the proper hand Writing of the said John Glassford and these Deponents And that
       they did also see James Buchanan Lord Provost or Chief Majestrate of the City of
       Glasgow Sign and Affix the Common Seal of the said City of Glasgow to the
       within Certificate and Probat Sworn to before us                  John Baynes

       This Indenture made the twenty seventh Day of April in the Year of our Lord seventeen
       hundred and seventy Between Henry Ridgely of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the one
       part and Brice Thomas Beale Worthington of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the other
       part Whereas ^he^ the said Henry Ridgely is now justly and truly indebted unto him the
       said Brice Thomas Beale Worthington in the Principal Sum of Three Hundred and Eighty
       three Pounds eighteen Shillings and four pence half penny Sterling Money and Ninety
       Pounds nine Shillings and three pence half penny Current Money in Spanish milled
       Pieces of Eight at seven Shillings and six pence each piece of Eight with Legal
       Interest thereon from the Eighth Day of January seventeen Hundred and sixty eight
       on Bond dated on or about the day and Year last aforesaid  And Whereas the aforesaid
       Brice Thomas Beale Worthington hath at the Instance and request of the aforesaid
       Henry Ridgely paid the Sum of Three hundred and seventeen Pounds eight Shillings
       and four pence Sterling for him the said Henry Ridgely to Silvanus Grove and hath
       also at the Like request of him the said Henry Ridgely become bound with him
       a Bond or Obligation as his Security and for his proper Debt to Daniel Dulany Esq.r
       in the Penalty of one Thousand Pounds Sterling conditioned for the Payment of Five
       Hundred Pounds Sterling with Interest thereon and also at the Like request of him the
       said Henry Ridgely became bound with him in a Bond or Obligation as his
       Security and for his proper Debt to Ann Tasker in Two Thousand two hundred and
       fifty four Pounds Sterling conditioned for the Payment of Eleven Hundred & twenty
       seven Pounds Sterling with Interest thereon  Now This Indenture Witnesseth that
       the said Henry Ridgely for and in Consideration of the Premises and of the Sum
       of five Shillings Sterling to him in hand paid at or before the Sealing & Delivery
       of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and
