RESOLUTION

OF THE

MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE

CITY OF ANNAPOLIS

TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT

SECTION 48 - OF THE CITY CHARTER

Resolution of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E
of the Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article 23a
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume
and Supplements), titled "Corporations-Municipal", to repeal
and re-enact Section 48 of the Charter of the City of
Annapolis for the purpose of increasing the maximum
authorized fine for violation of a City Ordinance from
$100.00 to $500.00; re-enacting all other provisions of
Section 48 not inconsistent with this amendment; and all
matters relating generally thereto.

[Section 48 of the Charter of the City of Annapolis,
Anne Arundel County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

Effective Date August 1, 1978]

A RESOLUTION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED EAST OF EDGEWOOD ROAD INCLUDING A CHARTER AMENDMENT
TO AMEND THE CITY BOUNDARIES; TO APPROVE A ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF R-2; RE-ENACTING AIL OTHER PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 1 OF THE CHARTER NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THIS
AMENDMENT; AND ALL MATTERS RELATING GENERALLY THERETO.

WHEREAS, D.C.I. Industries, Inc., the contract
purchaser and equitable owner of the property hereinafter
described has requested the Mayor and Aldermen of the City
of Annapolis to consider annexation of the said property to
the lands included within the corporate limits of the City
of Annapolis, and the record title holder has consented
thereto, and there are no persons residing within the area
proposed for annexation;

AND WHEREAS, the proposed annexation and charter
amendment have been duly advertised and hearing held in
accordance with the provisions of Article 23a and Article
66b of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and the procedures
for placing an appropriate zoning classification upon the
said property have been followed:

AND WHEREAS, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis have heard the recommendations of its Planning and
Zoning Director and of the Planning and Zoning Commission of
the said City upon the proposed annexation and zoning
classification;
