sheller, four Cows, one Wagon, one wheel barrow, six set of
Wagon gears, two harrows, five shovel ploughs, twenty walnut
Chirs one Cubbord, two Benches         To Have and To Hold
the said described property to the said John S. Brown his
executors administrators and assigns forever; And the said
Ignatius Waters ^for himself^ his heirs executors and administrators the
said Ignatius Waters unto the said John S Brown his
executors and administrators and assigns against      the
said Ignatius Waters his executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
       In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this Eighteenth day of March Eighteen hundred
and fifty seven
       Signed sealed and delivered            Ignatius Waters   (Seal)
          in the presence of
          Sam.l F. Simmons


             Be it remembered that on this eighteenth day of March
1857 before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for Howard
County appears Ignatius Waters and acknowledges the
above Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according
to the true intent and meaning thereof.   And at the same
time appeared before me John S. Brown the grantee
in the said Bill of Sale named and made oath that the
consideration set forth in said Bill of Sale is true and
bona fide as therein set forth

John Latchford
This Indenture made this
nineteenth day of February in the
year Eighteen hundred and fifty
seven between Abraham Franklin
of Baltimore City in the State of
                    Maryland of the one part and John Latchford of Howard
                    County in the State aforesaid of the other part.   Witnesseth
                    that the said Abraham Franklin (Cold Man) hath placed
                    and bound out by these presents doth place and bind out
                    his son Joseph H. Franklin who on the first day of March
                    next will be of the age of six years as an Apprentice to the
                    said John Latchford to dwell with and serve the said
