    (Place)     of Baltimore City this 1st day of June A D

of Howard County and state of Maryland
in Consideration of one hundred
and ninety one dollars paid us by
                    James L Davis and B A  Cunningham Justices of Meredith
                    Davis of Frederick County and State aforesaid do
                    hereby bargain and sell to the said James L. Davis and B.
                    A. Cunningham Trustees the following property one Black
                    horse called Dick one Sorrel Horse called Bully one Sorrel
                    Horse called Albert one Iron Grey Horse called Fox
                    Witness our hands and seals this 21st day of May 1858

                                                Frederick County To Wit:
    I hereby certify that on this 21st day of May 1858 personally
appeared before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for
Frederick County aforesaid Mary G Waters Ignatius Waters
and acknowledged the foregoing bill of sale to be their
act                                                Abraham Thomas J. P.
       State of Maryland
                                   Frederick County to wit
I hereby certify that on this 21st day of May 1858 before me the
Subscriber a Justice of the peace for said County personally appeared
James L. Davis and B. A. Cunningham Trustees of
Meredith Davis and made Oath in due form of Law that
the Consideration in the foregoing Bill of Sale is true and
bona fide as therein set forth
