said apprentices good and sufficient Meat
Drink clothing lodging and other necessaries
fit and convenient for such apprentices
during the term aforesaid and at the
expiration thereof shall give unto the
said apprentices two suits of wearing apparel
one suitable for sundays and the
other for working days.  In Testimony whereof
the said John G. Worthington and Joshua H.
Penn have hereunto interchangeably set
their hands and seals the day and year first
above written

Deed of Manumission
to Negro Rachel
Martin & Perry
To all whom it may concern be
it known that I George Bradford
of Howard County in the state of
Maryland for divers good causes
and considerations me thereunto
moveing as also in further consideration
of one dollar current money to me in hand
paid have released from slavery liberated
Manumitted and set free and by these presents
do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit
and set free my negro woman named
Rachael being of the age of thirty eight years and
and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood
and Maintenance and her two children
Namely Martha and Perry and her the said
Negro woman mamed Rachel and her two
children namely Martha and Perry I do
declare to be henceforth free manumitted
and discharged from all manner of
servitude or service to me my executors
or administrators forever.   In testimony
whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal this tenth day of
october in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred
and fifty four
