70 Right hand and both of his thumbs appear to be stiff in the middle Joint and does not bend in the Joint in the usual form that most men's does he calls himself Isaac Durrom has no very particular marks more than Described that I have observed In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand (seal) and affixed the public seal of my office this twenty seventh day of July Eighteen hundred and fifteen Tho Richardson Clk Caroline County Court State of Maryland Caroline County to wit Whereas on the fifteenth day of May 1786 William Frazier of Caroline County by deed of manumission duly Executed acknowledged and Recorded amongst the Records of Caroline County did manumitt and set free a negro Boy named Emanuel to be free from the first day of January in the year Eighteen hundred and six And whereas the said negro Boy hath made application to me for a certificate of his freedom agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and provided and being satisfied by the Evidence of Henrietta M Frazier and Colo Wm Richardson of Caroline County that the said negro man to whom this certificate is delivered is the person mentioned in the manumission afs.d I do therefore grant his said application and hereby Certify that he is five feet five inches high or thereabout has a scar on the top of his right foot and a small scar about the middle of his forehead and no other particular marks that I have discovered In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my (County) hand and affixed the public seal of my office this ( seal) thirty first day of July Eighteen hundred and fifteen Tho Richardson Clk Caroline County Court |
