      Lib. C. B.   ment had past in England uniting her Matys two Kingdoms

                   of England & Scotland into One by the name of Great Brit

                   tam. And that two printed Copys of the said Act were sent

                   Whereupon his EXnCY was pleased to say the said Copys never

                   came to his hands or any Directions in this matter before

                   their Lordships Lre afd which was brought him the fourteenth

                   of June last. Upon Receipt whereof he had made the most

                   Solemn preparation for proclayming her Maty Queen of Great

                   Brittain &c. And having issued a Proclamation to the

                   Severall Countys therefore desired the Advice of the Boarde

                   if the High Sherriffe of Ann Arundell County were not the

                   fittest person on horsback and whilst his Exncy is Reviewing

                   the Severall Troops of the Militia now in Town to proclayme

                   her most Sacred Matyc Anne by the Grace of God Queen of

                   Great Brittain France & Ireland & the Dominions thereto

                   belonging Defendr of the Faith &c. And reading the Act of

                   Union Which was approved off by the Board and Her Maty

                   proclaym'd Accordingly.

           p. 127  Mr Philemon LLoyd Deputy Secretary being sent for came

                   And the Right honble the Lords of Trade & forraign planta

                   tions Letter was read Signifying that Sr Thomas Laurence

                   had petitioned her MatYe and alleadged that the Ordinary

                   Lycences have been taken from him by an Act of Assembly in

                   this province from Octob. 1703 to Octob. 1707 to the Value

                   of at least Six hundred pounds which petition her Matye had

                   referr'd to their Lordships for their Report thereon. And

                   because their Lordps cannot lay the truth of that Allegation

                   before her Matye untill they are Satisfied in some particulars

                   they desired his EXnCY to return them by the first Opportunity

                   An Accot of what psons kept Ordinarys from Octob 1703 to

                   Octob. 1707 what Quantitys of tobo have been payed by them

                   & how that tobo has been dispos'd of by the Assembly.

                     M' Sam' Young publique Treasurer of the Western Shoare

                   informs the Boarde He understands Capt Carnaby imported

                   thirty five Negros more than he reported which would appear

                   by Nathan Smiths Charge to Mr Lowe in Col Lows hands

                   for the Duty of 20 p head & the Navall Officer at Puttuxents

                   Booke It was thereupon Ordered that the said Col Lowe &

                   Nathan Smith be wrote to attend the next Councill with those

                   Accots And that It be inquired whether Mr George Plater

                   tooke any Import Bond on the Importe of those Negros.

           p. 128  Indian King Daniel & another King of the Eastern Shore

                   Indians came and acquainted his Exncy that they were dis

                   turbed in their Lands and that John Kellum has seated in

                   their Lands John Parker fallen bounded Trees and clears their

                   Ground. George Nicholas John Bevans & Willm Laws are

                   seated within their Bounds.
