Country, and so we ehall be at all Times very careful to avoid

the Entertainment of Jealousies & running ourselves into
Heats and Misconstructions so we shall very readily join with
your Excellency & her Majesty's Honble Council in whatsoever
shall appear to be for her Majesty's Honour & the Good of our
Country.
As to the Indian Business when your Excellency shall think
fit to lay it before us we shall not only give our best Advice &
Assistance therein but further it with all the Unanimity &
Dispatch which may be proper for that Affair.
Sir. We are very sensible of your Excy's good Governmt &
tender Regard towards us & do hope that the same Tender-
ness will be continued to us; and we take this Opportunity to
assure your Excellency that as we can entertain no Jealousies
so we shall be always ready to make due Returns of Grati-
tude for the Enjoyment of so great a Blessing.

Which being read and approved of is ordered to be sent up
to his Excellency & Council p Mr Charles Greenberry, Mr
Hugh Eccleston, Mr John Jones, Mr John Mackall, Mr George
Muschamp & Mr Robert Skinner. They return & say they
delivered the same.

Mr Thomas Greenfield & others pursuant to an Order of
last session relating to the Petition of the Parishoners of St
Paul's Parish in Prince George's County made Return of their
Report & ordered a Bill be prepared.
The Honble Thomas Tench & Edward Lloyd Esqrs from the
Council enters the House and delivers Mr Speaker the follow-
ing Message.

By his Excellency the Governor & Council in Assembly
December 7th 1704.

Since the unhappy Accident of our Court House & some
of our Laws burnt has induced this present Meeting of the
Country his Excellency thought it might conduce to the obvi-
ating the publick Charge of detaining the Session for the
transcribing them (some being very long) to have the Bills
which were read in the House sent for from the late Speaker's
House in Charles County & having ordered them to be tran-
scribed against your Meeting they are with the original
Draught of the said Bills herewith recommended to your
Consideration for the reenacting thereof if you see fit.
