396 Assembly Proceedings, Dec. 5-9, 1 704.

Lib. 41.

And likewise brought with them the following Bills, the
Laws being burnt.
Bill for Limitation of Officers Fees.

Bill declaring the Division of several Counties of this

Province.
Bill for Advancement of the Natives & Residents of this
Province.
Bill for regulating the Militia.
Bill for Payment of Criminals fees.
Bill declaring several Acts of Assembly formerly made to
be in Force
Bill for causing Grand & Petit Jurors & witnesses to come
to Courts
Bill for Preservation of several Harbours in this Province
All indorsed by the Clerk of the Councill & this House the
last Session, and likewise the ingrossed Bills sent with them
to be read & examined in the House.
Ordered to be read in the Afternoon.
Upon Debate of rebuilding the Stadt House ordered the
following Message be sent up to his Excellency & Council
Viz.

By the House of Delegates Decr 7th 1 704

The rebuilding the Stadt House now lying under Consider-
ation this House have resolved their Willingness to rebuild
the said House in as commodious a manner as before, and
accordingly treated with Mr Bladen concerning the same; but
his Demand being so great this House will not concur. There-
fore it's resolved that a Committee be appointed to treat,
bargain & agree with such Persons as will undertake the said
work and accordingly have appointed Mr Samuel Young, Mr
Charles Greenberry, Mr Joseph Hill, & Mr Richard Jones

Delegates of Ann Arundel County for that Purpose. And
likewise that this House pray his Excellency to appoint two
of the Hofible Councill to join with them, and that a Bill may
be prepared to give them Authority to do the same to which
the Concurrence of his Excellency & Council is Prayed.
