Know All men by these Presents that I Cornelius Johnson of
Pocomoke river in Sommersett County in the Province of Maryland
ffor Divers good Causes and Consideracons me here unto moving have
given grannted sold and Confirmed And by these Presents doe give
grannte Sell and Confirme unto William Broadwell of y County &
Province aforesaid Cordwinder one Long boate (formerly belonging
to Capta: Thomas Smith with all and singular the sayles mast
owers and other Implements thereunto belonging; To have and
to hold use receive and enjoye the said boate and all & singular
the Implements thereunto belonging unto the said Wm: Broadwell
his heires and assignes To the onely proper use and behoofe of
him the said Wm: Broadwell his heires and assignes for ever,
freely peaceably and quietly without any manner of reclaime
Challenge or Contradiccon of me the said Cornelius Johnson my heires
executors: & admrs: But from all accon of right title Claime Interest
use possession & Demand thereof wee & every of us to be utterly excluded
& forever debarred by these presents; And I the said Cornelius the said
boate and Implements thereunto belonging unto the sd: William his
heires & assignes Against all people will warrant & Defend by these
presents In Confirmacon & full Assurance of the truth above written
I the said Cornelius have to these Presents Sett to my hand & fixed
my Seale And put the said William in peaceable possession by
Delivery of seisin of & in the said boate & Implements thereunto
belonging As the said Cornelius his subscripcon fixeing his seale
and the wittnesses subscripcons as testimoneys Doe manifest this
eight Day of January Annoq Domini one Thousand Six hundred
seaventy and foure ; / ; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
