Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Mr, Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
order:

Ordered, That all leaves to introduce bills to repeal or
amend any Article of the Code, or section of any Article,
shall refer to the subject of such section or Article, to facili-
tate the indexing of the same.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Percy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal of the House
that the Hon. James Wilson, of Allegany county, is de-
tained at his house by sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr, Kean submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Standish be granted a leave of absence
until Thursday next.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following order :

Ordered, That a Select Committee of five be appointed, to
which all matter relating to the State Deaf and Dumb-
Asylum shall be referred.

Which was adopted, and Messrs. Bowlus, Streett, Ritter,
Webb and Chapman constituted said Committee.

Mr. Watkins submitted the following order :

Ordered, That all motions made to print any other matter
than such as shall be entered on the Journal of Proceedings,
be referred to the Committee on Printing, who shall inquire
into the propriety or necessity for the same, and to recom-
mend the number to be printed . and to report upon each as
soon as practicable.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Blake submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Speaker of this House be requested to
employ a competent person to index the Journal of the pre-
sent session, and the work to progress with the session. The
