1370 VETOES.

The majority of the lot owners are opposed to the bill, and
it contains a number of questionable features. For instance,
the measure undertakes to extend police power for quite a
distance beyond the boundary limits of the town and into
and over adjacent private property. It provides an unusu-
ally restricted qualification for voting, and authorizes the
town council to meet in Washington as well as at the Beach.
Other unusual provisions might be mentioned.

The bill will be vetoed.
