tion thereof shall pay a fine of not more than five dollars and
costs for each offense, and in default the offender shall be con-
fined in the county jail for not more than thirty days; the
whole of such fine to go to the informer or the person or persons
securing the conviction of such offender. Nothing in this Sec-
tion shall apply to any person or persons owning or leasing lands
in said Caroline County, who may desire, during the open sea-
son, to gun for, hunt or pursue, upon such lands so owned or
leased by said person or persons, any such birds, game or
animals.

27-C. Any owner who shall permit his dog or dogs to run
at large during the closed season, and pursue or kill, harm or
destroy any birds, game or animals mentioned in the preceding
Section, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof be subject to a fine of not less than one dollar
nor more than five dollars and costs, for each and every offense,
and in default the offender shall be confined in the County Jail
for not more than thirty days; the whole of such fine to go to
the informer or the person or persons securing the conviction
of such offender, except any owner between September 1 and
November 9, inclusive, may be permitted to run or train his
dogs; provided he accompany them; but in so doing he shall not
be allowed or permitted to carry a gun. Any person or persons
who shall harbor or permit any dog to remain on or about their
premises, shall be deemed the owner of such dog for the purpose
of enforcing this Section.

27-D. All moneys received by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Caroline County for license issued under Section 27-B ex-
clusive of the Clerk's fee for issuing such license, shall be paid
over, at the end of each month, to the Chief Game Warden for
said Caroline County, whose appointment is hereinafter pro-
vided for, the same to be expended by him as hereinafter pro-
vided.

27-E. All game wardens and the State Game Warden are
hereby empowered to make arrests without a warrant of any
person or persons upon their seeing or knowing of any violation
of any of the foregoing Sections, and are hereby expressly ex-
empted from any liability because of any arrest he or they make
while in the performance of their duties.

27-F. The County Commissioners of Caroline County shall,
on or before the fifth day of May, A. D. 1914, and every two
years thereafter appoint a Game Warden for Caroline County,
to be called the Chief Game Warden for Caroline County, who
