Bowles Green
A writt haveing Issued against the s.d Bowles at his
Lordship Suite to answer unto an Indictment ^found Against him^ for Feloney
half a Smiths Anvill the Sher. of Kent County to
whome the Same writt was Directed makes Return thereof to the Court
here on the third Teusday of March being the Sixteenth Day of s.d March
Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and twenty four the Day of Return of
s.d writt Endorst as foll viz.t Copi Corpus p Fred.k Hanson Sher

    Thereupon it is ordered by the Court here that y.e afd Bowles Green Enter into
Recognizance with Good Security for his appearance at next Court to answer to
an Indictment found against him for Stealing half a Smiths Anvill and good
behaviour and that the  Sher of Kent County keep him the s.d Bowles in
Safe Custody untill he Shall Enter as afd

    Whereupon Bowles Green of Kent County planter present herein Court
in his proper person Doth acknowledge himself Indebted unto the Right
honourable the Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the Sume of
twenty pounds Sterling money of great Brittain to be made and Leveyed
of his Goods and Chattels Lands and Tenements for the use of the s.d Lord prop.ry
his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the ^s.d^ Bowles Shall not make
his personal appearance before the Justices of the next Court to be held for
the County afd at the Court house in y.e Town of Chester in the same County
on the third Teusday of June next ensueing to answer to an Indictment
found against him for Stealing half a Smiths Anvill and if that in
the mean time he Shall not be of good behaviour wherewith the s.d Bowles
Doth acknowledge himself to be Content                    also

    Robert Green & Daniel Flinn both of Kent County planters present herein
Court in their proper persons do acknowledge themselves Indebted unto the Right
Honourable the Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the Sume of
ten pounds Sterl money of Great Brittain to be made and Leveyed of their
Several Goods and Chattels Lands and Tenements for the use of the s.d Lord
prop.ry his heirs & Successors Conditionally that if the afd Bowles Green
