1710 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

to prepare a report to be submitted by October 1, 1940, to
the County Commissioners of Allegany County and the Mayor
and City Council of Cumberland, making recommendations for
legislation to correct the existing conditions and that copies of
said report shall be transmitted to the members of the Gen-
eral Assembly from Allegany County. The members of said
commission shall serve without compensation, but the five
appointive members shall be reimbursed for their necessary
expenses in attending meetings and making surveys, but the
total amount of said expenditures for all of said members
shall not exceed $300. 00; and be it further

Resolved, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby
requested to transmit under the seal of this State a copy of
the aforegoing resolution to each of the members of the
Board of County Commissioners of Allegany County, to the
Mayor and City Council of the City of Cumberland, to the
Director of the State (Department of Health and to the
Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission, with
the request that the members of this Commission be appointed
without undue delay.

NO. 16.

(Senate Joint Resolution 10)

A Joint Resolution, continuing the existence of the Land Laws
Commission appointed by the Governor, in pursuance of
Chapter 527 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1935
and Joint Resolution No. 13 of the General Assembly of
1937, and requiring said Commission to report to the Gov-
ernor on or before December 31st, 1940.

WHEREAS, the Land Laws Commission appointed by the
Governor in pursuance of Chapter 527 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1929 has submitted a report to him, and he
has recommended that said Commission be continued; there-
fore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Land Laws Commission as created by Chapter 527 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1929, with the number of its per-
sonnel and its powers increased by Joint Resolution No. 16
of the General Assembly of 1985, be and it is hereby continued
until its successors are appointed; and be it further
