No. 36.

Passed Mar. 4,
1841.

Resolution appointing Agents to represent the State in all
Joint Stock Companies.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Samuel Sprigg, William Cost Johnson, Allen Bowie Davis,
William U. Purnell, and Tench Tilghman, Esquires, be,
and they are hereby appointed agents to represent the State
in all joint stock companies in which the State has an
interest.

1841.

Resolution directing the Librarian to furnish the Clerk and
Register of Wills of Allegany County, with copies of
Index to the Laws.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Librarian be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to
furnish to the clerk and register of wills of Allegany county,
each, one copy of the index to the laws, from eighteen
hundred and twenty-five to eighteen hundred and thirty-
one; provided, there will be a sufficient number of copies
of said index left in the library, lor the use of the General
Assembly.

1841.

Resolution authorising the State Librarian to deliver cer-
tain Books to the Steyvesant Institute of New York.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Librarian deliver to the order of the Librarian of
the Historical Society, Steyvesant Institute, New York,
for the use of said library, one copy of each of the follow-
ing works: Bozman's History of Maryland, Proceedings
of Maryland Convention, seventeen hundred and seventy-
four, &c. the Votes and Proceedings of Maryland, from
eighteen hundred and eleven to eighteen hundred and for-
ty, inclusive, Dorsey's Laws of Maryland, and Testamen-
tary Laws, McMahon's History of Maryland, and the Re-
ports of the Geologist of Maryland.
