1836 JOINT RESOLUTIONS
Basin of the adverse conditions that have so long pre-
vailed; and be it further
Resolved, That the Secretary of State be, and he is here-
by directed to send, under the Great Seal of the State, a
copy of this Resolution to the President of the Senate, to
the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and to each
member from Maryland in the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives urging them to use their utmost endeavors to
carry out our desires as expressed in this Resolution, and
thus to afford to all those who operate motor vehicles over
United States Highways Nos. 1 and 50, the urgently needed
relief which they demand from the excessive flood con-
ditions.

Senate Joint Resolution requesting the States of Virginia
and North Carolina to join with Maryland in a con-
certed effort for the conservation of fin fish.
WHEREAS, Fishermen in the States of North Carolina,
Virginia and Maryland have become alarmed over the de-
cline of migratory fin fish and are aware that action by
one State alone would not be sufficient to remedy this
situation; now therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the States of Virginia and North Carolina are requested
each to appoint a committee of five persons from among
the membership of their State Legislatures to meet with
a similar committee from the General Assembly of Mary-
land as soon as possible; and be it further
Resolved, That the said representatives from the several
States be instructed to consider the conservation of migra-
tory fin fish and problems common to the three States in
