receiver ever be authorized, or any court be empowered to direct
the receiver, to sell, assign, mortgage, or otherwise dispose of any
assets of whatever kind or character belonging to the Authority [.]
, unless the bonds in question expressly authorize the sale, assign-
ment or mortgage of the assets of a certain project.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 541
(Senate Bill 416)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 365 of
Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), as amended by Chapter 576 of the Acts of 1949, title
"Somerset County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", authorizing an
increase in salary for the Deputy County Treasurer of Somerset
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 365 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter 576 of the Acts
of 1949, title "Somerset County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
365. The Treasurer shall appoint a deputy, who shall perform
such duties as the said Treasurer may require, and for whose of-
ficial conduct said Treasurer shall be responsible, and who shall act
for said Treasurer during the Treasurer's absence; the salary of
the said Deputy shall be [as set by the County Commissioners of
Somerset County, to be not less than $2,000.00 nor more than $2,-
500.00 annually,] $3,500.00 annually and shall be paid on a monthly
basis.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
