487 Ex Either of them shall seem proper for Due Execution of the power or any of them above & herein Contained & af.d I the said Edward Tell by these presents ratifying & Confirming what the said Philip Thomas & John Galloway or Either of them or the Person or Persons so to be Substituted by them or Either of them as af.d shall Do or Cause to be Done by Virtue of these Presents As Witness my hand and seal Dated in Annapolis the Eleventh Day of September One thousand seven hundred & thirty two Signed Sealed & Delivered in Presence of us Edward Tell Seal Joseph Cowman Jn.o Lomas J Lawson On the same Sheet of Paper with the aforegoing Letter or Attorney is the following acknowledgment (Viz.t) Maryland fs Then Came Cap.t Joseph Cowman one of the People Called Quakers before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court as one of the Evidences to the within Power of Attorney and affirmed that he saw the within mentioned ^Edward Tell^ sign seal and Deliver the within Power of Attorney as his Act and Deed as likewise Came John Lomas the other Evidence and made Oath on the Holy Evanlegist of Almighty God that he saw the within mentioned Edward Tell Sign Seal and Deliver the said Power of Attorney for the Uses therein mentioned Affirmed & Sworn to before me this 11.th Day of Nov.r 1736 9 1/2 Robert Gordon Recorded 12.th Nov.r 1736 Sides (9) Alienation List & Fees Posted so far for the year 1736 Ex.d This Indenture made the Tenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord God seventeen hundred & thirty Six for And between the Reverend Joseph Hooper of Baltimore County of the One part and Benjamin Tasker of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the Other Part Witnesseth that the Said Joseph Hooper for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty seven pounds fourteen Shil.s & 3.D Sterling to him the Said Joseph Hooper before the Ensealing of these presents payed by the Said Benjamin Tasker Whereof and Wherewith the Said Joseph Hooper Doth Acknowledge himself to be fully Contented payed and satisfyed and thereof & from Every part thereof doth Clearly Acquit Exonerate and (Discharge) |
