State of Maryland Dorchester County ^sst^  Be it remembered that on this 29.th
day of December 1842 personally appeared William Harding the party
granted within named before the subscriber a Justice of the peace in
and for the county and state aforesaid and acknowledge the [illegible]
Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the goods
and chattles and other the premises therein mentioned and thereby
bargained and sold to be the right and property of the within named
WVM Edmondson the party granted also therein named his heirs and
assigns forever according to the purport true intent and meaning
of the said Bill of Sale or instrument of writing and the acts of assembly
in such case made and provided  Taken and
certified the day and year above written

WVM Edmondson         Be it remembered that the following bill of
Ex.d       from                 sale and recorded on 2.d Jany anno domini 1843
Jno C. Jones                   to wit      Know all men by these presents
that I John C Jones of Dorchester County state of maryland for and
in consideration of the sum of forty three dollars and twenty
Seven cents current money of Maryland by me now due
unto WVM Edmondson of the COunty and State aforesaid at or before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the indebteness
whereof I the said John C Jones do hereby acknowledge have
granted bargained and sold and by these presents do hereby
grant bargain and Sell unto the said WVM Edmondson his
Executors administrators and assigns all the property herein
after particular mentioned that is to say One Bay or
Brown Horse one bay mare, one sorrel Colt one yoke oxen
One ox cart Two milch Cows Two Heifers Two yearlings
all and singular which said goods and chattels are
now remaining and being in a certain messuge or
tenement Situate on Cabbin Creek and run in the
Occupancy of the said John C Jones  To have and to
hold all and singular the Said property above bargained
and Sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the
Said WVM Edmondson his executors administrators
or assigns forever; and I the said John C Jones for my self
my heirs executors and administrators all and
Singular the said property unto the said WVM Edmondson
his executors administrators and assigns against
me the said John C Jones my Executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever
