Constable for Vienna Town in said County, in lieu or instead of W.m Delehay, who
has resigned his Office of Constable for said Town.  Given under our hands & seals
this ninth day of February Ann Domini Eighteen hundred & fifty.

                   Know all men by these presents that we John S. Cornwell, Joel Cornwell
and Josiah Kerr, of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, are held & firmly
bound unto the State of Maryland, in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars,
current money of the United States, to be paid to the said state or its certain attorney;
to the which payment well and truly to be made & done, we bind ourselves,
our heirs, executors and Administrators, jointly & severally, firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals and dated this ninth day of February 1850.

The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden
John S. Cornwell shall well and truly execute the Office of Constable, in the
Town of Vienna in Dorchester County, in all things appertaining thereto, and
shall well & truly account for all monies placed in his hands for collection,
and shall also well & truly pay all sums of money received by him, then
the above Obligation to be void, otherwise of full force & virtue in law.

Dorchester County, To wit:
On the ninth day of February 1850, personally appeared before me the subscriber,
a Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid, William W. Clifton &
Jacob Insley J.r, and made the following Oath, To wit:  "We W.m W. Clifton
and Jacob Insley J.r, subscribing witnesses to the above Bond, do make Oath that
John S. Cornwell and Joel Cornwell and Josiah Kerr, Obligors mentioned in the
said Bond, did severally, in our presence, sign, seal & deliver the said Bond as their
act & deed for the purposes therein mentioned."
