County Government - Indemnification

For the purpose of amending the Indemnification provisions of certain County officers
and employees for official acts in accordance with the Local Government Tort Claims
Act.

Bill No. 03-7

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE AND EMPOWER THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
WORCESTER COUNTY, MARYLAND TO BORROW ON ITS FULL FAITH AND
CREDIT FROM THE MARYLAND WATER QUALITY FINANCING
ADMINISTRATION (THE "ADMINISTRATION"), AND TO ISSUE AND SELL ITS
GENERAL OBLIGATION INSTALLMENT BONDS TO THE ADMINISTRATION,
AT ONE TIME OR FROM TIME TO TIME WITHIN FOUR YEARS FROM THE
DATE THIS BILL BECOMES EFFECTIVE, AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING
$6,000,000 TO PROVIDE FINANCING FOR THE CAPPING OF THE SNOW HILL
LANDFILL AND THE POCOMOKE LANDFILL, INCLUDING PAYMENT OF ALL
RELATED COSTS AND COSTS OF ISSUANCE OF SUCH BONDS.

For the purpose of authorizing the issuance and sale by County Commissioners of
Worcester County, Maryland of its general obligation installment bonds to the
Maryland Water Quality Financing Administration to finance the capping of the
Snow Hill Landfill and the Pocomoke Landfill.

For the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners to impose moratoria on the
outside use of water by resolution.
