be born shall by these presents be born free from all Claim
of Service any right of property from me my heirs Executors
Administrators and Assigns forever  In witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this third
day of February Anno Domini seventeen hundred and
ninety seven

Ann Arundel County sct  On the third day of February
Anno Domini seventeen hundred and ninety seven
personally appeared before me the subscriber one of
the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid Charles
Drury party to the within Instrument of writing who
Acknowledged the said Instrument of writing to be
his Act and Deed and the signature and seal thereto
Affixed to be respectively his for the use & purpose
therein mentioned

Samuel Peaco

negro Grace
 I Samuel Peaco of the Sity of Annapolis

in the State of Maryland Do hereby
set free from bondage my negro Grace aged about
forty years and do for myself my Executors and
Administrators release unto the aforesaid Grace all
my right and all claim whatsoever as to any persons
or to my Estate my acquire hearby Declaring the
aforesaid absolutely free without any interruption
from me or any person Claiming under me
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal
this 17 day of March one thousand seven hundred and
ninety seven
