she may be tax free and as in duty bound shall ever pray The petition afd being read and heard and fully understood and Mature deliberation thereupon had &c Wherefore it is Considered by the Court here that the afd Ephraim Heather be discharged from paying of Taxes for the afd Negro Woman Bess for the future as by the petition afd is praid &c
pence to be Levied or your Bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements for the Use of the said Thomas Benston in Case the said Thomas Pingally shall not pay and Satisfie unto the said Thomas Benston the said Thirteen shillings and Eight pence so as afd recovered against him with the additionall Costs thereon on the tenth day of February next taken before me the 23d day of October anno Dom 1736 Jno Scott
money of Maryland to be paid unto the said Samuel Handy Thomas Handy William Handy and Stephen Handy their heirs Exe.rs adm.rs or assignes to the which payment well and truely to be made and done we bind Our Selves our and either of Our heirs Executors and adm.rs for the whole and in the whole Joyntly and Severally firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this Twenty fourth day of November ann Dom 1736 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that Whereas the Commisary Gen.ll hath Transmitted unto this Court the account of the Estate of William Handy dec.d wherein it is found that there is Ballance due to the abovesaid Orphans the Sum of Two hundred and Twelve pounds three shillings and Eight pence Curr.t money of Maryland if Therefore the abovesaid Elizabeth Handy John Handy and Isaac Handy or any or Either of them or any or Either of their heirs Ex.rs or adm.rs do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the afd Orphans the afd Sum of Two hundred and twelve pounds three Shillings and Eight pence Curr.t money of Maryland according to will and the act of assembly when they shall arrive at full age to receive the Same then the above Obligation to be void & of none Effect otherwise to remaine in full force & Vertue Eliz.a Handy (seal) Sealed & Delivered Wm Lane John Handy (seal) In the presents of Thos Williams Isaac Handy (seal) |
