    August Court                 1737            106

Thereupon the said Mary Mcfarline with Robert Givan her Security both present here in Court
in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary
in five pounds Sterling each of their goods and Chattells Lands and tenements severally
to be made and Levied to the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors  If it
happen that the said Mary Mackfarline do not make her personall appearance before
the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at dividing Creek
the third tuesday of November then next and do not then and there answer unto his
said Lordship of and Concerning such matters and things as should be objected against
her on his said Lordships behalfe and do not stand and abide the Judgment of the Court thereon
and do depart the same Court without Leave and in the mean time if she be not of the
good behaviour towards his said Lordship and all his good people &c

 Now hereat this day to witt this sixteenth day of August Ann Dom One
thousand seven hundred and thirty Seven Came here into Court a Certain                                                                        
Martin Fenton in his proper person and made Complaint to the Court here
that a Certain Woney Macclemmey had beaten and assaulted him on the high Road &c

            Whereupon it is Commanded the Sheriffe of Somerset County that Immediately he take &
said Wonney Macclemmey if &.c to answer &.c    And afterwards to witt the same day and
Year Last mentioned Came the said Wonney Macclemmey in his proper person under Custody
of the Sherrife of the County afd and being by the Same Sheriffe Led to the Barr is thereupon
Instantly ordered by the Court to give Security with two good Securitys for his Good behaviour
and appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held
at dividing Creek the third Tuesday of November then next &c

    Whereupon the said Wonney Macclemmey with Joshua Caldwell and George Benston both of the
County afd planters his Securitys all present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves
Indebted unto his Lordship the Lord proprietary that is to Say the said Wonney MccClemmey
do not make his personall appearance before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of
Somerset to be held at dividing Creek in the Same County the third tuesday of November then next
