Signed by the said Clerk, as Clerk of the Lower House. Always
Saving to the Members of this House and the People they Represent
and their Posterity all their Rights and Priviledges whatsoever; and
Protesting that those Rights and privileges shall not nor Ought to
be Hurt Prejudiced or lessened by the Clerk of this House his Sign-
ing the Proceedings thereof as Clerk of the Lower House.
The House Adjourns Until two of the Clock in the afternoon

Friday Post Meridiem
The House Met According to Adjournment &c.
Capt Thomas Woolford a Representative of Dorchester County
appeared in the House this afternoon.
Col Hooper and Mr Trippe sent to the Upper House to see him
Qualified They return & acquaint Mr Speaker they saw him Quali-
fied by Taking the Several Oaths to the Government and Signing
them and by repeating and Signing the Test.
The House appointed the Several Committees, Viz.
A Committee of Elections and Priviledges: Mr Walter Smith,
Col Robert Hanson, Mr William Hemsley, Col Robert King, Mr
Philip Hammond, Mr Joshua George
Committee of Accounts: Col Robert King, Mr Denton, Capt
Gordon, Major Sprigg, Major Dashiells

Committee of Laws: Mr Dulany, Col. Gale, Col. Hooper, Mr Key,
Mr Tench Francis, Mr George, Mr Hammond, Mr Richard Francis
Committee of Agrievances & Courts of Justice: Mr Warfield,
Mr Stoughton, Mr Goldsborough, Mr Mathews, Mr Magruder,
Mr Wright, Mr Kennard, Mr Hamilton
The House Appointed Mr Thomas Jobson Serjt at Arms; and Mr
Thomas Reynolds Door Keeper, and Ordered Capt Gordon to Qual-
ify them by their taking the Several Oaths to the Governmt and
Repeating and Signing the Test, who Acquaints Mr Speaker he
Qualified them Accordingly.
The Question was put That on all Complaints concerning Elec-
tions the Enquiry be made at the bar of the House; Resolved in the
affirmative.
Resolved that no Members of this House appear at the bar of this
House as An Advocate
Col Gale Mr Trippe and Mr Moale and Majr Sprigg Appointed a
Committee to Enquire into the Accounts and Proceedings of the
Commissioners of the Paper Currency
The Committee of Laws Ordered to prepare an Address to the
Governour on his Speech.
Mr William Ghiselin appointed Clerk of the Committee of Laws
Mr John Gibson appointed Clerk of the Committee of Elections and
Priviledges.
